Restored historical plaques in honor of the reunification of Belarus installed on the Old Bridge in Grodno
grodnonews.byAccording to available historical information, the first bridge in Grodno appeared in the 15th century. Over the centuries, the bridge connecting the two banks of the Nemunas has changed its location many times.
The permanent one was built only in 1908. The old bridge, as the people of Grodno call it, has undergone many trials in its history: during the two wars, it was blown up and restored more than once.
