udf.byBelarus and Syria have developed a solid foundation of mutual relations, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeny Shestakov said at the first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for the stamp to mark 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Syrian Arab Republic on 27 November, BelTA has learned. “This year is special for Belarus and Syria: we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
During this period the Belarusian-Syrian interaction has been developing on the basis of friendship and trust. We have exchanged high-level visits, embassies in Minsk and Damascus are successfully functioning, and an intergovernmental commission has been set up.
