Lukashenko: Belarus should be involved in peace talks on Ukraine
udf.byBelarus should definitely be involved in the peace talks on Ukraine, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, BelTA has learned. In June 2023 Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that the talks were in the pipeline and pointed to Belarus' possible participation in the negotiation process. “Is it some sort of a veiled invitation to you to join the talks if they take place?” the journalist asked the head of state. “You should address this question to Danilov,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The president added that he had heard the statement. “We border on Ukraine. We are ‘co-aggressors' as your country and the West call us.
