New data from NASA’s SPHEREx (Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization, and Ices Explorer) space telescope is shedding light on the enigmatic class of celestial objects known as brown dwarfs. This discovery, published in The Astrophysical Journal, is helping scientists better understand the formation and evolution of these mysterious “dark wanderers” of space.
