China Cracks Down on Online Financial Scams

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), in conjunction with the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), has launched a concentrated campaign to tackle information chaos and illicit activities in the online financial sector.
This crackdown targets accounts spreading information related to financial “black and gray industries,” including malicious debt evasion, improper anti-collection practices, agency claims, and credit reporting repair.
